Weddings & Special Events

Are you looking for a quiet, beautiful and private place for your wedding, family reunion, or other event that won’t break the bank? This idyllic, small farm setting may just may be your answer.

Options for special events beyond wineries and hotels are somewhat limited here in Southern Oregon. Wineries, as beautiful as they are, just may not fit the budget. Here at Shady Grove Farm Bed & Breakfast, we strive to keep it affordable but also provide the amenities that people hosting a special event expect. Tucked away in nature, it has easy access to I-5 and is easy to find from Ashland, Jacksonville, Medford or really anywhere in southern Oregon.

The eight acre farm provides lots of privacy and beautiful places to gather. Two large ponds are surrounded by large old growth trees and grassy expanses. The grounds provide a mix of sun and shade. The historic barn provides a great backdrop for pictures. The deck and patio behind the bed and breakfast provide a place for a buffet and, if so inclined, dancing. The swimming pool adds to the ambience and is a great place to float candles and be illuminated with tiki torches.

This summer we’ve teamed up with caterers to offer a special package. No need to hassle with finding your own. We feel we’ve found two of the best – European trained, a professional chef, and lots of experience making gourmet food. We’ll provide a number of options to suit a variety of tastes. We’ll be updating this section of the website with more detail, but here’s a sneak preview:

The Greek Feast

Spanakopita (spinach pie) with toasted almond tzatziki sauce and quinoa pilaf

The Italian Feast

Lasagna, roasted veggie platter, garlic bread

Mushroom Lovers Delight

Stuffed portabella mushroom with porcini sauce, herb roasted vegetables and green beans.

All options include appetizers and salad. Deserts are also available.

Please contact us to schedule your event and discuss price. We look forward to helping you plan a memorable day!

“Shady grove farm is the most stunning little spot in southern Oregon. There is something about the light and trees and green mountains that make this place very special.”                                        A guest at Shady Grove Farm
